It takes a extra ordinary anointing of the Holy Spirit to live a 'normal' Christian life
As Christians we enter the kingdom of God by being born again, then next step is to ask God to baptise us with the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:11)
Jesus soaks us through (baptise us) with His Spirit, we receive Him (the Holy Spirit) as we receive our salvation.This like anything else in God's kingdom is an act of FAITH. We ask and receive in faith, believing the word of God and in God's eternal faithful nature.
Although the baptising of the Holy Spirit is a single incident, we need to stir up our anointing - our 'fire' daily.
Satan wants to neutralise our anointing and our fire with distractions, sins, deceptiveness, busyness, undisciplineness etc. More than killing you, more than harming you - Satan wants to NEUTRALISE you.
Make you ineffective for the kingdom of God - wasting you years, wasting your LIFE, wasting your CALLING.
Jesus said if we stay in HIM will be bear much fruit. How do we 'stay' in HIM. Let's look at the WORD OF GOD..
A coal laying on it's own will quickly loose it's heat, to stay hot we need to be in the fire.

======> WOOD 1: Prayer <======
The bible says we should pray continually (1 Thessalonians 5:17). BUT...
When we pray we MUST remember we are talking to a PERSON. Keep God's personality and character in mind. He is not like an idol where we have to mindlessly repeat phases hoping that somehow that will bend his arm to help us.
Like (Matthew 6:7) says.... 'when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.'
Study the way JESUS talked to His Father. We must follow Jesus's example and pray like Him. Prayer has to be sincere. frequent (He is with us all the time), stay in humility, respect, fear of God, submission, dependent on Him. LISTEN to HIS voice - it is part of a relationship. It takes TIME. (Matthew 6:9 - Our Father..)
If it helps pray OUT LOAD while moving around - this will help you focus and not falling asleep.
======> WOOD 2: The Word <======
THE WORD: Is like iodine that can protect the thyroid from radioactive iodine, by being filled with one thing it can stop other harmful things entering you.
Psalm 1 says: 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
The WORD needs to be read, (OUT LOAD) studied, talked about, discussed, listened to etc. Absorbed in any way possible in as many ways as possible.
The WORD is also like SEED. When you sow it you WILL get in time, a wonderful harvest !
'but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it'.(Isaiah 55:11)
You have a need? Get a scripture and in faith TIE it in prayer to that scripture, stand on it and bring it before God daily!
======> WOOD 3: Boldness in witnessing <======
(Acts 2:14) Witnessing is often least liked of all the 'woods'. Because we 'expose' ourselves to other people. But this is vitally important because we will become like rotting pond and not be running stream if we don't give what has been entrusted to us by God to others. IF we don't witness we STAGNATE.
It is clear in the bible that if we 'stand up for Jesus' HE stands up for us.(Acts 7:55)
God feels strong about this ..But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers (Revelations 21:8)
The bible says that if we don't speak up - warning people about their eternal souls going to hell, we will be kept responsible.
But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone's life, that person's life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.' (Ezekiel 33:6 )
YES there is a good chance that you will be persecuted - like Jesus if you speak up. BUT in FAITH we can trust God to give us the words and anointing and opportunity to speak into someone's life. Often I find it is easier if I speak to someone when they alone as opposed to them being in a group with their friends. (like Nicodemus coming to Jesus in the night)
I also often pray in advance that God choose the day, time and person. That He 'sets' up the meeting. This I know if you are spiritually 'ready' HE WILL use you.
It is the highest honor to be used by the CREATOR of the Universe.
======> WOOD 4: Praise <======
(Psalm 150) With all the technology like YouTube etc it is much easier to find ways to PRAISE GOD.
Praise is prayer on steroids! IT is POWERFUL !. We can praise God for the good and the BAD that happens in our lives. It releases God POWER, put everything in perspective and God uses it to fill us with power.
Isaiah 61:3 - 'the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness'
Feel tired? Feel depressed? Feel 'DOWN' - Praise GOD, Praise Him until you feel the supernatural power of HIS SPIRIT lift your spirit.
This is not something I can't explain in detail, you have to DO it - then you will know it.
When Paul and Silas was in the deepest darkest dungeon, been beaten, sitting with their feet in stocks (probably sitting in their own pee and poo ..aah). At midnight, they PRAISE GOD (Acts 16:25)
David was at a very low point in his life, he encouraged himself (1 Samuel 30:6)
PRAISE is a choice it has NOTHING to do with your circumstances !!!!!!!!!
